The Pulsus Vijaya Multi-Speciality Hospital and Research Center has opened in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, India, reported Business Standard.

An initiative by the Pulsus Group and funded in part by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the hospital aims to provide affordable healthcare services to the rural population.

Spanning about 25,000m², the 100-bed hospital offers a wide range of medical specialties, including cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, oncology, paediatrics along with emergency services.

Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana inaugurated the hospital.

Satyanarayana said: “The inauguration of Pulsus Vijay Multi-Speciality Hospital and Research Centre marks a significant step towards enhancing the healthcare infrastructure in Srikakulam.

“I am delighted to be a part of this momentous occasion and believe that this hospital will bring world-class medical services to our citizens, furthering our commitment to their well-being.”

The hospital will house research laboratories to facilitate studies and partnerships with academic institutions.

Costing Rs500m ($6.06m), the project is expected to enhance healthcare infrastructure in Srikakulam and provide medical services to the community.

Pulsus Group CEO Dr Srinubabu Gedela emphasised the hospital’s commitment to comprehensive and patient-centred care.

Pulsus Group said in a statement: “With an affordable rural healthcare focus, the hospital will provide a comprehensive range of medical specialties, including cardiology, orthopaedics, neurology, oncology, paediatrics, and emergency services.”
