Italy-based startup ReportAId has secured €2.2m ($2.5m) in a pre-seed funding round to advance its AI-powered platform, which aims to streamline healthcare paperwork by interpreting medical reports and creating interactive care pathways for patients and clinicians.
Led by the Italian Founders Fund, the round garnered funds that are set to improve ReportAId’s growth within the Italian and European healthcare markets.
The financing will facilitate the addition of ten new team members and the expansion of its solution, which is in use at institutions such as San Raffaele Hospital, and currently being implemented by Ospedale Isola Tiberina – Gemelli Isola.
ReportAId CEO and co-founder Giuseppe Faraci said: “ReportAId is the first operator to bring AI at scale into Italian healthcare. In the coming years, this technology will become a core pillar of the health system.
“We are ready for a concrete dialogue with local health directors, regional councillors, and national ministries to help modernise the NHS.”
The ReportAId-developed platform addresses the challenges of managing medical reports, fragmented care journeys, and complex treatment planning.
