The $90m equity component of the Series C round was led by Noteus Partners. Other investors included Aviva, Concord Health Partners, YZR Capital and Oxford Capital.
Debt facilities totalling $130m were provided by VerisFi Capital and Atempo Growth, with the capital earmarked for mergers and acquisitions, as well as working capital.
Scan.com operates in a US medical imaging market valued at more than $100bn.
The company aims to address inefficiencies through a centralised platform, connecting patients to available imaging resources.
Scan.com co-founder and CEO Charlie Bullock said: “The US runs around 600 million medical imaging scans a year, and there is still no national infrastructure behind them. Labs got that decades ago with Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp. Imaging never did, and that is what we have built.
“An employer, a health plan or a digital health app can now connect to imaging capacity nationwide through a single API, and their patients get scanned at a quality-checked centre in days rather than weeks, at a price they can see before they schedule. This investment is about making that the standard in US healthcare, rather than the exception.”
Via its national application programming interface (API), Scan.com integrates search, scheduling and results delivery into a single system, working directly with independent imaging centres’ scheduling and electronic medical records.
The platform uses AI to match referrals with imaging resources and automates paperwork while a care team remains available to assist patients. Results are typically provided within 48 hours.
More than 900,000 patients worldwide have used the Scan.com network. The newly secured funding is set to extend Scan.com’s network of providers and to support further investment in its API and AI infrastructure.
