Sharp Sight Eye Hospital has opened a new facility, equipped with latest technologies for eyecare, in New Delhi, India.  

The new 45,000ft² facility is designed to accommodate over 1,000 patients daily in its Outpatient Department (OPD).  

It incorporates advanced Femto Robotic Cataract Surgery, modern extended-depth-of-focus (EDOF) lenses, and artificial intelligence (AI) technology to improve cataract screening.  

The inauguration ceremony, held on January 16, was presided over by Indian Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari. 

Addressing the inauguration event of the Hospital’s new facility, Gadkari said: “The efforts of institutions like Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals align with the government’s commitment to enhancing eye care infrastructure across the nation.  

“Through our initiatives, we are witnessing a substantial reduction in preventable blindness and an increase in the accessibility of quality eye care, especially in rural and underserved areas.”
