Tampa General Hospital (TGH) in the US has acquired a property in the Hyde Park area as part of a collaborative effort with the University of South Florida (USF) Health to expand specialised health care services across the Tampa Bay area.

The property will serve as the future home of USF Health’s Pamela Muma Women’s Health Center and the Chivukula Men’s Center.

The purchase of the Hyde Park property was enabled by a donation from Dr Jagadamba and Krishna Chivukula to the TGH Foundation, the hospital said.

Tampa General president and CEO John Couris said: “This transition is an exciting testament to our shared dedication to providing world-class care and personalised experiences for our patients.

“By expanding our concierge services and establishing a dedicated men’s centre, we are enhancing our ability to meet the diverse needs of our Tampa community.”

The future Chivukula Men’s Center is designed to enhance Tampa General’s existing suite of concierge medical services for both men and women.

The new centre will offer a range of services, including preventative care, personalised health care navigation and wellness programmes.

It will also feature advanced technology to support proactive health assessments, screenings, lifestyle coaching and integrated wellness offerings such as acupuncture and massage therapy.

Patients will benefit from 24/7 access to coordinated care teams, including specialists and primary care providers, to support comprehensive and integrated treatment plans.

In addition, the facility will provide access to a full suite of imaging services exclusive to members.

Tampa General Hospital and USF Health anticipate that the Pamela Muma Women’s Health Center and the Chivukula Men’s Center will open next year.

USF Health executive vice-president Charles Lockwood said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to expand the high level of comprehensive care we provide through the USF Health Pamela Muma Women’s Health Center.”

In March 2025, TGH partnered with Lakeside Medical Center to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare in the rural regions of Palm Beach County.
