TriValley Medical Group (TVMG) has acquired a majority stake in Central Valley, California-based multi-specialty independent physician association Sequoia Health IPA.

Sequoia Health IPA, a collaborative venture with Golden Valley Health Centers (GVHC), enables physicians to offer a variety of healthcare services, including primary care, paediatrics and urgent care.

A not-for-profit federally qualified health centre, GVHC operates a network of 46 health centres across Merced, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin counties and serves over 145,000 patients.

GVHC’s network also includes two freestanding women’s health centres, five school-based health centres, 12 dental clinics and other programmes for homeless healthcare.

The latest acquisition by TVMG aims to improve clinical outcomes for vulnerable populations in the region through improved value-based care initiatives and streamlined healthcare operations.

This collaboration will focus on integrating primary and specialty care networks and expanding service availability for patients with various plans, including Medicare.

Furthermore, TVMG will support GVHC with contract management, technology integration, care model development, and data analysis.

TVMG CEO Jonathan Dinh said: “This partnership is a step forward in offering quality care to communities in need. It’s about sustainable, efficient, and quality healthcare for all.

“We could not be more proud to have such a quality partner in GVHC. They have been a trusted name in healthcare, serving the central valley for over 50 years. Building upon this foundation, we are committed to continuing the vision set forth under Tony Weber’s leadership.”

GVHC will use the shared practices, managerial and administrative support, and improved workflows to ensure control over clinical as well as operational decisions.

Besides, the partnership leverages TVMG’s advanced care platform and provider-centric tools to reinforce GVHC’s network of over 200 healthcare providers.

The initiative aims to bridge the health equity gap by providing accessible and value-based healthcare services.

GVHC CEO Tony Weber added: “Joining forces with TVMG marks a significant moment in community healthcare. Dr. Dinh’s value-based care expertise and patient-centred approach will enhance our ability to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to those we serve.”
