US-based hospitals network UnityPoint Health has partnered with Premier, a healthcare improvement company, to optimise the management of its supply chain portfolio and support healthcare.
Under the multi-year partnership, UnityPoint Health will leverage Premier’s offerings such as supply chain services and group purchasing organisation (GPO), PINC AI technology platform and a team of experts to boost the execution of its supply chain.

Additionally, UnityPoint Health will incorporate Premier’s service line analytics that provides insights on pharmaceutical spend and clinical trends to minimise expensive drug utilisation and enhance outcomes.
UnityPoint Health Supply Management vice-president Mark Johnson said: “Today’s healthcare environment calls for a model that is focused on building healthier communities and better outcomes while maintaining highly effective and efficient operations.

Since 2015, UnityPoint Health has been utilising Premier’s clinical analytics.
