Virtis Health, a US-based provider of therapeutic and diagnostic services, has opened an ambulatory infusion centre (AIC) in Atlanta.

Situated at 1600 Oakbrook Drive, Suite 560B, Norcross, Georgia, Virtis Health Atlanta is a division of Soleo Health, which offers specialty pharmacy services administered in the home or at alternate sites of care.

The service offering of Virtis Health and Soleo Health together enables patients to avail flexible site of care options that meet their individual treatment requirements in a cost-effective environment.

Virtis Health Atlanta provides therapy management services and treatments for patients suffering with autoimmune disorders, including chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, multiple sclerosis, and myasthenia gravis.

The AIC will offer treatments for patients with several inflammatory conditions, such as thyroid eye disease, Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, besides primary immunodeficiencies and rare and ultra-rare diseases.

Virtis Health Atlanta serves patients in Atlanta, including those in Norcross, Dunwoody, John’s Creek, Alpharetta, Duluth, Lawrenceville and Cumming as well as surrounding communities.

Virtis Health Atlanta appointed Turquoise Holmes as nurse practitioner to oversee the clinical practice.

Virtis Health regional vice president Jennifer Joiner said: “The opening of the new Virtis Health Atlanta AIC, combined with Soleo Health’s complex specialty pharmacy services, affords the Company yet another opportunity to extend its abilities and clinical expertise to bring highly personalised care to patients and providers alike.

“Since we offer additional resources and options in the community, we are confident our model will quickly become a preferred choice for the delivery of specialty infusible and injectable medications in the alternate care setting.”
