Altera Digital Health has introduced CareInTelligence, a data platform built on a contemporary cloud architecture, complete with a governance framework aimed at unifying fragmented healthcare data for providers, payers, and community outreach organisations.
The platform is designed to transform disparate data into actionable intelligence, thereby enhancing decision-making and supporting outcomes throughout the care continuum.
It provides data visualisations, insights, and customised reporting to assist organisations in optimising their data ecosystems.
The company stated that a significant gap exists between IT investment and the realisation of value, with approximately 97% of healthcare data remaining unused.
CareInTelligence is designed to identify trends and generate insights precisely when needed, thereby improving patient outcomes, supporting informed decision-making, and enhancing care delivery. This approach aims to better align data utilisation with operational and clinical priorities, added the company.
The platform delivers comprehensive information on population demographics, density, utilisation, and clinical and social needs. This enables providers, payers, and community organisations to identify high-risk cohorts and manage care effectively at both population and individual levels.
Built-in governance features—including audit history, role-based access, and lineage tracking—are implemented to ensure readiness, accuracy, and security, supporting “responsible use” across organisations.
Altera Digital Health CareInMotion executive vice-president Kevin Ritter said: “We see the challenges many organisations face when it comes to managing the avalanche of data and how those hurdles affect care quality, costs and reimbursement.
“CareInTelligence builds upon our robust data aggregation capabilities to drive better cohesion across organisations’ ecosystems, regardless of system of record. It’s a major step forward in turning data into a strategic asset and dialing into the holistic goals of any healthcare organisation.”
In August 2025, Altera Digital Health launched TouchWorks Note+, an ambient listening and note generation solution intended to streamline the documentation process for healthcare providers.
