Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, is to expand its use of Oracle Health electronic health records (EHR) and RevElate Patient Accounting solutions.

These solutions will be integrated into various ambulatory clinics and two hospitals across the Arkansas Heart Hospital network.

Arkansas Heart Hospital expects the unified system to allow critical data to be shared, enhance staff and patient experiences and better match resources to patients' requirements.

Arkansas Heart Hospital CEO and founder Bruce Murphy said: “Since we opened nearly 27 years ago, innovation has been a driving force that separates Arkansas Heart from the competition.

“Oracle shares our commitment to transforming healthcare for the betterment of patients, staff and the communities we serve.

“By extending Oracle technology across our organisation, we are putting information into the hands of our staff that is vital for the care of our patients in moments where every second counts.”

The expansion builds on the hospital's long-term partnership with Oracle Health, which aims to centralise health and operational management solutions.

The extended collaboration with Oracle Health is expected to optimise Arkansas Heart's operations, providing a single, comprehensive health record for each patient across the network’s facilities.

Arkansas Heart is using Oracle Fusion Applications for its finance and supply chain, while the Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) will enable it to standardise business processes on one platform.

Oracle Health and Oracle Life Sciences executive vice-president and general manager Seema Verma said: "Many healthcare networks today are operating with outdated technology that silos data and processes, making it difficult to adapt to new solutions that offer important clinical and financial insights.

"With an intuitive, connected digital health record system that spans its operations, together with Fusion Applications, the Arkansas Heart team will have ready access to the information needed to better serve patients, clinicians and staff."
