Clarity Pediatrics has secured $14.5m in a Series A funding round for supporting the planned obesity services launch in early 2026.

The financing will also enable further development of the company’s virtual clinic platform and continued geographic growth.

Jackson Square Ventures led the Series A round with participation from new investors MassMutual Catalyst Fund II, City Light Capital, Scrub Capital, GingerBread Capital and Operator Collective.

Existing investors Maverick Ventures, Rethink Impact and Homebrew also contributed to the round.

Clarity Pediatrics’ virtual clinic platform aims to address the growing demand for paediatric chronic care.

The company’s expansion will allow it to serve more US families, particularly those managing ongoing conditions such as obesity, asthma and learning or behavioural challenges.

Clarity Pediatrics' co-founder and chief medical officer Dr Alesandro Larrazabal said: “Obesity is the fastest growing paediatric chronic condition in the US today, quadrupling in prevalence over the last 40 years. The prevalence of paediatric obesity is higher in Black and Hispanic children, especially those from low-income families covered by Medicaid.

“As a paediatrician-led organisation, we're committed to equipping providers and families with evidence-based solutions that improve both access and outcomes for all children with chronic conditions.”

According to Clarity Pediatrics, more than 40% of school-aged children and adolescents manage at least one ongoing chronic condition. The demand for paediatric specialists continues to exceed availability, leading to long wait times and limited insurance coverage.

This situation leaves millions of children without proper care, impacting families, schools, and communities nationwide.

Clarity Pediatrics addresses this gap through a care model, which is recommended by paediatricians and integrates expert multi-speciality care teams, personalised support and telehealth appointments.

The company’s services are fully covered by insurance, ensuring children receive comprehensive and continuous care.
