US-based Commure and DRH Health have collaborated to enhance clinical documentation and boost workflow efficiency integrated with MEDITECH across the health system’s care network.
DRH Health, a not-for-profit regional system with 128 beds, encompasses two hospitals and 20 specialist clinics in southwestern Oklahoma.
It will deploy Commure Ambient AI to enhance accuracy of documentation, allow more time for patient-focused care, and reduce the administrative workload on clinicians.
DRH Health selected Commure for its integration with scalable enterprise architecture MEDITECH and its capability to provide measurable results in hospital and outpatient settings.
Initial Commure Ambient AI users have managed to decrease documentation time by as much as 90 minutes per provider each day and have completed charts within 24 hours of patient interactions.
This enabled clinicians to dedicate more time to patients while improving revenue.
DRH Health vice-president and chief operating officer Roger Neal said: “Across our hospitals and clinics, we see how documentation demands can limit the time clinicians have to connect with their patients.
“Commure’s Ambient AI offers an intuitive, clinician-centred solution that eliminates administrative burden while enhancing the quality and accuracy of every note. For a regional system like ours, it’s an important investment in both our people and the patients we serve.”
Integrating into the MEDITECH Expanse electronic health record (EHR) of DRH Health, Commure Ambient AI optimises workflows and supports consistent chart completion while maintaining compliance and high data security standards.
This partnership places DRH Health among health systems utilising Commure Ambient AI to document more than 20 million clinician encounters a year, code treatments autonomously, and provide real-time care support.
In September 2025, Bethany Children’s Health Center joined forces with Commure to minimise clinician documentation load and improve productivity.
