Megha Engineering and Infrastructures (MEIL) has begun construction of the new buildings for the Osmania Hospital at Goshamahal Stadium in Hyderabad, India.

The project was officially launched by MEIL Projects president K Govardhan Reddy, who inaugurated the operations. The foundation stone was laid by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on 31 January 2025.

Osmania Hospital will be a 26-acre advanced healthcare facility. Its total built-up area will be 3.2 million ft² over 12 floors. The complex will accommodate 2,000 beds.

Two basement levels will be allocated for parking, with a capacity for 1,500 vehicles, ensuring convenient access for both visitors and patients.

The project is expected to be completed within 30 months.

The facility will feature 29 operating theatres, 12 minor operating theatres, transplant theatres and robotic surgery units, along with essential infrastructure including biomedical waste management systems and sewage treatment plants.

A helipad is also planned to facilitate emergency medical airlift services. Furthermore, dedicated colleges for physiotherapy, nursing and dentistry will be built on the campus.

Govardhan Reddy stated: “We are committed to completing this landmark project within the scheduled timeframe. The new Osmania Hospital will be equipped with world-class facilities and advanced equipment, matching the standards of leading private hospitals in the country.”

The facility will include terrace gardens and cross-ventilation features to enhance patient comfort and ensure continuous airflow.

The hospital block will feature separate hostels for women and men, a mortuary, and security and utility structures within the campus.
