Greenway Health, a provider of health information technology services, has collaborated with Luma Health to launch Greenway Patient Connect powered by Luma.

The new patient engagement portfolio is designed to enable patient self-service, reduce staff workload, and improve healthcare access.

Greenway Patient Connect aims to support the three daily elements of the patient experience, namely access, communication, and readiness.

The solution is integrated into Greenway's electronic health record (EHR) solutions and utilises automated insights to streamline administrative tasks, potentially reducing costs and increasing revenue for healthcare providers.

Greenway Health chief product and technology officer David Cohen said: "The launch of Greenway Patient Connect harnesses the power of AI to improve healthcare practice operational efficiency, increase financial opportunities, and foster a more seamless patient experience.”

The technology behind Greenway Patient Connect is set to alleviate the need for manual scheduling by healthcare staff, as well as change or cancel appointments.

Additionally, it is designed to reduce waiting room congestion by collecting patient intake and insurance information before visits.

For patients, Greenway Patient Connect is expected to enhance the healthcare journey by allowing them to book appointments in real-time, manage their appointments, accept waitlist offers, and receive appointment reminders.

Luma Health chief technology officer and co-founder Aditya Bansod said: “The strategic partnership with Greenway Health brings the power of Luma's Patient Success Platform to the entire Greenway client base.

“We're thrilled that millions of patients will more easily access care, and providers and staff will save countless manual work hours that can be devoted instead to growing their businesses and creating world-class patient experiences.”

Last year, NextGen Healthcare partnered with Luma Health to provide artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced patient communication tools to ambulatory organisations in the US.
