The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has collaborated with the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative to establish an 11-storey multispeciality hospital block and a bone-marrow transplant (BMT) centre.

This project will be constructed at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) campus in Navi Mumbai, India, by Larsen & Toubro (L&T) using an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model.

ACTREC was established by TMC.

The initiative will be implemented through NSE Foundation.

The NSE project encompasses a built-up area of 240,000ft² and is expected to be completed at a cost of Rs3.8bn ($42.7m). Operations are anticipated to commence by July 2027.

It will include a dedicated 60-bed BMT centre. It is projected that the centre will serve around 130,000 outpatients each year and perform over 600 BMT procedures annually.

The facility will offer both speciality and general services to support cancer patients with comorbidities.

Additionally, it will function as an outpatient unit for the entire ACTREC campus, which has plans for three additional buildings dedicated to cancer treatment. The facility will provide life-saving treatments either free of charge or at subsidised rates.

NSE managing director and CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan said: "NSE is honoured to partner with Tata Memorial Centre in this landmark initiative. Our aim is to support the healthcare needs of cancer patients and their families, and to contribute meaningfully to the fight against cancer in India.

“We believe this project will have a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of patients each year. For more than 30 years, NSE has been a catalyst for change - revolutionising India's financial landscape, channelling household savings into productive capital, facilitating fund mobilisation, wealth creation, job creation and driving economic growth."
