PointClickCare has announced the forthcoming launch of Referral Advisor, its latest AI-powered solution aimed at improving referral management for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs).
The new tool will be available later this month to select SNF organisations, offering a streamlined approach to managing time-consuming and complex referral intakes.
Referral Advisor is designed to address operational inefficiencies in post-acute care, where the referral intake process often involves reviewing more than 70 pages of documents per patient and requires significant manual follow-up.
By integrating with the PointClickCare electronic health record (EHR), the platform consolidates all inbound referrals, extracts and validates key financial and clinical data, and delivers actionable insights to support informed admissions decisions.
The company states that Referral Advisor aims to reduce review time and speed admissions, as well as provide care teams with timely clinical and financial information. This approach is intended to help SNF providers admit patients more quickly while ensuring each decision is supported by relevant data.
Referral Advisor supports SNF providers by offering upfront insights for selecting appropriate referrals, reducing missed admissions opportunities through an integrated platform, and eliminating manual data entry with AI-powered extraction.
It also enhances team collaboration, enables faster responses to hospital referrals, and streamlines administrative tasks for staff.
Referral Advisor will be presented by Dave Wessinger during this week’s JP Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco, US. Wessinger will elaborate on the company's vision for AI-driven transformation and ongoing investments within the sector.
