The Guthrie Clinic has completed the acquisition of Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital (Lourdes Hospital) and has unveiled Guthrie Lourdes Hospital and all associated facilities.
Completion of the transaction comes after several months of planning to integrate Lourdes services, facilities, providers, and caregivers into the Guthrie Clinic.

The initial agreement with Ascension to acquire Lourdes Hospital, along with its locations and related physician practices, was signed by The Guthrie Clinic in June last year.
Lourdes services, facilities, providers, and caregivers have now officially become part of the Guthrie Clinic.
This addition brings Guthrie’s team to nearly 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers, serving 29 communities across Pennsylvania and New York.
Lourdes Hospital, based in Binghamton, New York, is known for providing 24/7 emergency and acute care, speciality care, and ambulatory surgery. It also has a cancer centre, a health and wellness centre, and a network of primary care providers serving the region.

Guthrie Lourdes Hospital president Kathy Connerton said: “Lourdes has been a cornerstone in this community for 99 years, beginning as a 25-bed hospital on Riverside Drive, to today’s 242-bed hospital with 44 outpatient clinics and nearly 3,000 caregivers.”
Headquartered in Sayre, Pennsylvania, the Guthrie Clinic is a non-profit multispecialty health system.
Its team currently comprises more than 9,000 caregivers and includes 1,000 physicians, as well as six hospital campuses and outpatient facilities across 13 counties.
The health system also provides post-acute care services, including acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, personal care home, home care, and hospice services.
