US-based healthcare provider MedStar Health has launched a pilot collaboration to integrate Reimagine Care’s on-demand oncology care platform into its existing cancer treatment model.
This initiative is set to provide patients in Maryland and Washington DC with an extended care plan that reaches into their homes, offering a combination of personalisation and clinical rigour.

The partnership with Reimagine Care enables MedStar Health to offer its patients 24/7 access to a patient-centred care model that uses technology, data insights, and a multidisciplinary team.
Reimagine Care CEO Dan Nardi said: “Partnering with MedStar Health represents an opportunity to fundamentally enhance cancer care in Maryland and Washington DC.
“By integrating our on-demand oncology care platform into MedStar’s robust oncology care model, we can help improve patient outcomes, reduce the burden on clinics, address clinical care gaps, and provide a seamless experience for patients.”
MedStar Health has a network that includes ten hospitals and outpatient locations, as well as National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated cancer centres, such as the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.

By GlobalDataThe integration of Reimagine Care’s platform will enable MedStar to extend cancer care beyond the clinic, incorporating symptom management, supportive care, and remote patient monitoring. These aim to enhance performance quality and reduce the total cost of care.
MedStar Health Community Oncology medical director Mahsa Mohebtash said: “We are pleased to incorporate Reimagine Care into our navigation services for cancer patients.
“We hope this pilot project successfully meets our goals to ensure patients have the most fluid access and continuity of care, and opens the door to explore opportunities for future collaboration.”
The pilot in Baltimore addresses the urgent need for accessible and convenient cancer care, especially in diverse communities where patients often encounter logistical and financial barriers to clinic-based treatment.
The collaboration is anticipated to not only streamline the patient experience but also support MedStar Health’s commitment to value-based care.
In July 2023, Reimagine Care partnered with DispatchHealth to enhance cancer care by offering services outside of a traditional healthcare setting.
