Physician-led platform OneOncology and The START Center for Cancer Care have finalised a collaboration agreement, marking a development in the delivery of cancer care services in the San Antonio region in Texas, US.
This partnership aims to retain the independence of The START Center while providing access to an array of resources to support physician-led cancer care.
OneOncology CEO Jeff Patton said: “Having the physicians and cancer researchers at The START Center join OneOncology is a significant milestone for our platform and the cancer care our partnership of independent physician practices delivers across the country.
“The START physicians all play a vital role in San Antonio by offering patients an important choice to receive the highest quality of specialised cancer care and clinical trials at home in South Texas, close to their families and support systems at costs that are far less than in hospital systems.”
The START Center for Cancer Care, with its team of 37 physicians and 328 employees, serves approximately 30,000 patients across six clinics in a year.
By teaming up the OneOncology platform, the centre will gain access to real-time clinical insights, advanced technological tools, and operational solutions.
