I Am Boundless (Boundless), a provider of services for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) community, has chosen NextGen Healthcare solutions to enhance care across Ohio, US.
The collaboration will see the implementation of NextGen's Enterprise electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) systems across more than 50 counties.
NextGen's Enterprise PM software, designed as a unified, integrated database, aims to streamline practice operations by automating routine processes such as eligibility checks, statements, claims generation, reports, and billing.
Meanwhile, the NextGen Enterprise EHR system will facilitate information sharing and data exchange with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patients, health registries, payers, and other organisations, improving documentation efficiency and care outcomes.
Apart from the NextGen Enterprise EHR and PM integration, Boundless will also adopt NextGen Mobile to further increase the efficiency of healthcare providers.
This addition is particularly significant considering research highlighting substantial healthcare disparities faced by individuals with I/DD.
It is also expected to maximise patient outcomes for this vulnerable population.

Established in 1980, Boundless is said to be one of Ohio's largest service providers for the I/DD community.
The non-profit organisation offers a comprehensive range of personalised programmes, including vocational training, counselling, as well as adult day programmes.
In 2021, Boundless inaugurated Ohio's first health centre dedicated to providing primary, behavioural, dental, and mental health care to the I/DD community and others with complex needs.
